Gannon's Antiques and Art highlights several local artists

We would like you to come view some additions to our local artist gallery here at Gannon's Antiques and Art in Fort Myers Florida.

Some of the pieces that we would like to highlight include handcrafted knives composed of turquoise, lapis, stainless steel, antler, composite of powdered precious stones, risen, and coral. They come in many styles including tooled leather pocket knives, boot knives, and kitchen knives. The beauty of these pieces really needs to be experienced in person. They are truly special and unique. No two are exactly alike.

Another artist that we would like to highlight has accomplished some amazing feats with turned wood. Here you see an example of turned mango earwood. The key to the beauty of this piece is the earwood from which it was carved. It has been transformed into this eye dazzling work of art. The detail of the woodgrain is brought out by the extremely smooth finish. The lid of the box is adorned with a pierced carved maple finial.

We have a one of a kind lamp with the base carved of Jacaranda. It has a textural design around the circumference of the lamp. The vivid coloring is created with an alkaline dye.

Here is an amazing example of a jar turned from queen palm. It is adorned with pierced and carved maple base and finial with bamboo accents.
